I've been so busy with freelance work lately that I haven't had time to draw any sketches at all! So I thought I'd post some work-related images. These are all illustrations of various offices/work-places I drew a while ago for the very nice children's book Media Madness. Written by Dominic Ali and published by Kids Can Press, its a media literacy primer for kids and tries to inform them about how media is made and how it works. You can read more about it here.
Incidentally, yes that IS my studio in the first illustration, and yes, it is that cluttered. But I've gotten rid of the pizza boxes.

SWEET DRAWINGS.
Man, I could look at these for hours...but then I wouldn't get any work done. I'd like to read the Toast Rider comic. Not Hair Devil, though...I don't care for barber comics.

BRILLIANT!

Hey Michael I recognize that magazine veal-pen! Takes me back to a lovely summer day in the t-dot. Nice illos!
These are fabulous and encyclopedic! And, although I've heard the latter term about my work as a negative, it is a +++positive here!
Remind me Michael, in the fourth frame, that's the editor with his feet on the desk, right? Max McLoon - ha. Just sorry to see that "Noam Chimpsky" didn't make the cut.
this is freakin' amazing! diggin the detail.
These are awesome man, what a great style and ability to communicate effectively. GREAT stuff.

Thanks, everyone for the very nice comments! Yeah, I remember spending TONS of time doing research trying to get all the details right in those drawings.
Yes, Joyce, that is the ed. in chief with his feet on the desk. I also drew Ken Thomson (with golf-putter) as my publisher guy. I wish Chimpsky made the cut too-- It would have been great to draw a monkey!
These look and feel so great. Lots of detail, yet done in a way that is very appealing to younger readers.
