back to the shore...

Another two-colour drawing, done in markers on watercolour paper. This one was drawn late at night, after working on other assignments.

That guy looks like he listens to Oasis. And shaves like them.

My fave so far outta the bunch. I like how you made the woman's in shadow. Nice treatments all round.

We had sideways snow mid-day yesterday. This has some of the feeling of that. Great tonal work, composition. The disconnect and longing come through well.

Wow, that's spectacular. Love the eay you leave out some outlines and how you get the shapes across anyway. Way to go!

Awesome work!

Michael, this image is great. I love the use of green. Very well done. Again, your style is very reminiscent of Daniel Clowes'.

Thanks everyone, for the comments on these 2 colour drawings!

Bmac -- Not that I would ever defend Oasis, but they are Lars from Metallica's fav band...

Dominic - thanks again for the nice comments.

the doodlers -- thank you!

Jakob Westman -- thanks, Jacob. I like doing line-dropouts -- its a fun way to work in 2 colours.

Spacesick -- thanks again, dude. Luv your site.

Mike Thompson -- thanks for stopping by again and the nice comment, Mike. Yeah, I get the Clowes comparisons fairly frequently, especially when I work in 2 colours. That or Charles Burns when I try to do 'slick' b&w inks. Either way, I'm flattered by the comparisons, but I don't think I'm as good as either of them.

I REALLY like the two-colour drawings, they make me want to give it a try.
I guess I do see a bit of a Clowes vibe but I think it's clear you've got your own thing going on.
I've been all over your artwork here and it's terrific-- I learn things just by looking at it.
And Kirby is King.
