Toronto back alleys pt 9

My sincere thanks to everyone who has commented on this series of drawings. I've had a lot of fun working on them -- it's been a good way for me to get loose and spontaneous after a few years of doing very slick and tight commercial illustrations for children's books.

Hey Micheal! Great Drawings! It was nice having dinner with you after the Con in T.O. Earlier this week I went into a bookstore on Queen Street near the silver snail and saw your Media Madness book prominently on display as I walked in the door. Then, as I browsed the store I started noticing all these cool hand painted illustrated signs, and now that I'm thinking about it I'm wondering if it was you who made those signs. Two colours, black and blue. Beautiful work.

Did you make those signs?

And do you know the store I'm talking about? What's it called? I'd like to go back there. They had a good section of graphic novels.

Cheers, Michael!

PS. I've got a blog with drawings on it too. It's at http://moon-man.blogspot.com/

Love your art. And as a once-comic-book fan, I really dig your Favorite Superheroes series.

Doodlers -- Thanks again for the nice comments. I'm glad you liked these drawings.

Don -- Thanks, buddy. Glad to hear from you again.

Lee-roy-- thanks, dude!

Scott- Hey Scott. Great hearing from you again. I also enjoyed meeting and chatting with you at the con. The bookstore you're thinking of is Pages Books and Magazines and I did make many of those signs, years and years ago. Fiona Smyth also did a bunch as well. And yeah, they have a great selection -- they're my fav bookstore in town.

Thanks also for the very flattering blog entry! Your blog is very cool.

Anonymous -- thanks for sharing.

Guy Mann -- Thanks, Guy. I hope you'll drop by again.

lelandwong -- hey, Leland! Cool drawing-- I'm glad I could help out.

theWhiningStranger-- thank you. I hope you'll visit again.

unbemerkt-- thanks. I'm glad you like looser stuff-- I'm having a lot of fun with it.
