A highlight of the show was the panel we did introducing Transmission-X, the webcomic site that I'm contributing to. All of the features are very strong, so its a real thrill to be associated with the group. My feature for Transmission-X is called Papercut, and will feature a new short comic story from me each month. The first one is already online so you can check it out for yourself instead of reading about me blabbing on about it. But just for the benefit of those who want to see a bit of artwork first, you can see the page 1 of the 4 page story below:

Thanks very much, meg. Hearing that my work inspires a fellow artist is probably the highest praise I can imagine getting. Your work is fantastic too...but you know that! My wife and I were even checking it today and marvelling at your colour sense.
Hey Michael, it was nice meeting you the other day. Your comic "Smoking" is beautiful - I look forward to your next ones! See ya next time.
That's really nice, Mike. I'm looking forward to future installments.
Skim: thanks, Seo! It was a real pleasure meeting you too. And your caricatures are truely awesome!
Jason: thanks, Jason! Glad you liked it, buddy.
Great seeing you at TCAF and good luck with the new venture Mike!! I loved your prints, the one I got from you is finding a good home.
V COOL!! Love the style!! Congrat!
Paul: thanks, Paul! Likewise, it was great to see you and hang out again at TCAF. And best wishes to you and the new projects you're working on. Can't wait to see what you cook up, buddy.
Alina:Thanks, Alina. I'm flattered you like my work.
Michael,
The new work is gorgeous.... made me want to buy a pack! Ugh.
Can't wait to see the next installment.
Paul: thanks, buddy. hahaha! I commiserate, dude -- while I was writing it and afterwards, I had the worst nicotine fit in months.
Wow! That Smoking one is truly amazing. It hits home!
Lovely page, Beautiful job capturing the mood. I know what you mean. weaning myself of the wacky backy, and a lot of the ritual aspects are the hardest to adjust too.
Suzanne: thanks for the kind words, Suzanne. Hope you'll keep checking out the new stories I'll be posting in upcomming months.
Max: thanks, Max. Yeah, its all the 'ritual' moments that are the hardest to work out of the system, I find. Congrats also on your new book.
This page is so intense... I've never smoked a cigarette in my life (only a cigar, the day I got married), but - I'm sorry! - the last three panels really makes me wanna start! I've read the rest of the story and found both text and art beautiful.
