Its been freezing cold here in Toronto, so here's another winter-time alleyway sketch. A nice thing about this one was that it needed no pshop cleanup. Done in gouache and ink.
Ohhh man, no Phototshop touch ups? You are just bragging now. LOL.
Seriously, your work is incredible. I just discovered your work and I'm head over heels for it. I can't recall how I found your blog, definitely linking via someone else's blog, but I'm a fellow Torontonian and aspiring illustrator so it's a real pleasure to follow your blog and feast my eyes on your incredible work.
I love this series and this is a particularly nice addition! I hope you'll do an art book someday and include this kind of material. Thanks for sharing!
These back alley scenes are my fave part of your blog. Forgive me if I missed it, but did you ever do a post on how and why you do these? Are you working from photos or sketches?

Thanks, everyone. Its always fun to work on these sketches. And @Tom, a book is in the works. These alleyway drawings will all be part of it.
I love this series. Almost enough for two years of calendars. I'm just saying.
Beautiful.
Pretty good! Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good...
