Sorry for the long delay in between posts, folks. To make up for it, here's a drawing of that old-school Marvel super-team, the Avengers. I think this particular lineup only existed for a couple of issues (Hulk was never much of a team player), but it remains a personal favourite. You really can't go wrong with any group that includes the "fin-head" Iron Man.
This drawing is actually a companion piece to a drawing I did years ago, of a group of DC heroes. I pencilled it months ago, but didn't have time to finish it up until recently. The final art was painted in markers and ink, and you can check out the original pencil sketch for it below:

Brilliant as always, Mike. Great version of the classic Avengers lineup. Also wanted to congratulate you on your article in Illo magazine. I (finally) received my copy the other day and was thrilled to see so many familiar drawings - as well as several drawings I'd never seen before - on papier. (they look even better "in person" than on a computer screen). Enjoyed reading your interview, too. Those guys at Illo sure know how to put together a magazine.

Dan: much thanks. That Illo interview was actually done over a year ago, so some of those drawings are pretty familiar. I really couldn't include a lot of 'unseen' stuff, since most of it was being saved for a book or was under non-disclosure agreements.
