Papercut: "Waiting."

My new story for my webcomic, Papercut, is now online. It's the first part of a 29 page story called 'Waiting.", and it'll be serialized over the next few months on the site. I posted the first page of it here on this blog before, but now you can read 7 pages from it on transmission-x (the home of Papercut and other fine webcomics). The sketch to the left is of the protagonist of the story, David Rhee, and I drew it a while ago while trying to figure out the character design. Hopefully, some of you will visit the site to read the story and give me your feedback.

And for those who are interested in my process, you can check out the progression from thumbnail to final art of another page of the story below.

Been enjoying your work up on transmission-x (along with Cameron, Karl and Ramon).

Any plans for San Diego? If so, I'd like to make sure we meet up before I am leaving the convention grounds.

You can just e-mail me if you'd like to if you are going. It'd be nice to actually go out and grab something to eat, instead of eating by myself!

Hey matt,

Thanks for the nice words on transmission-x. All those guys you mentioned are doing FANTASTIC work, imho. As for San Diego this year, sadly, I'm not going to be attending this time around. I've gone the past 2 years, and I think I'm a bit conn'd-out. But I hope you have a good time at the show!

Outstanding work! Very, very impressive.

Beautiful work. Makes me wonder why I bother using more than one colour. Everything's there with just one shade of green.

Mike, excellent process post. I've been really enjoying the work on Trans-X, and passing it about to my 'sequencial art' geek friends. Miss you dearly, call you next time I'm in TO.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Ian: thanks for dropping by. Glad to hear you're keeping well -- and yeah, please drop me a line if you're coming back to T.O. anytime.
