Toronto Back Alleys pt. 15

This one's more of a quick test sketch, trying to capture that summer night, orange streetlamp glow. It was drawn smaller than the others, in ink and thinned gouache.

Wow Mike, that's fantastic. Superb lighting and a great alley as always. I still look back at the series did a couple years ago for reference occasionally.

Doc shaner: thanks, buddy. I'm glad you liked the previous drawings enough to remember them. I'm still working on new ones in the series.

Eric: thanks, Eric. you're a fellow torontonian, aren't you?

theDave: thanks, dude. I'm still working on stuff for print -- in between taking care of the new baby and juggling illustration assignments.

I'm in Halifax right now but my wife is going to UofT next year so we'll be relocating to Etobicoke, which is where she's from. I'm looking forward to it. I love Toronto. You'll have to tell me where to buy the best art supplies etc.

Beautiful work, I love the simple, free, undefined use of color. Makes for great ambience.
