I noticed today that the leaves on the trees are already losing that new-green colour and becoming rich and dark for summer. Personally, I like that early green the best, especially when the trees are wet and black after a rain. Then that lime colour just sizzles to me.

these are stunningly beautiful and humble at the same time. is the color added digitally? do you do these on-site or from a photo?
just lovely. how much are these selling for?
thanks!
Wow, that is another amazing work of art. I love how light just seems to stream out from behind those trees. Amazing and inspiring work, Michael. You should collect all of these in a book! I know I'd buy it.
I echo rls's sentiments. I'd buy that book.
Simply wonderful work of art. Reminds me of the tree in my front yard as it was just starting to sprout leaves. I know what you mean about the green too.
This is great as usual! Yeah, I buy prints or a book :-) Everything you post is awesome.
These are really lovely studies. You have terrific command of this technique and it never fails to amaze me.
wow, these are stunning. my new south parkdale neighbourhood would look incredible if drawn by you, but alas it is drawn by the cruel hand of reality. Actually the trees and houses in my hood are beautiful and may be calling your name to come out and do some drawrings.
awesome work michael

sorry, that's all I've got. wow.
This is rad man. I love your one colour styles. You can totally tell those are Toronto alleys. I bet i've even been in a bunch of them.
ROck on dude!
I love this entire series. Great work!!
Hey Michael! The book could be called 'Toronto Diaries'. Lovely image. Your note seems also to capture the somewhat sad moment of spring passing into summer.
Thanks for the very supportive comments, everyone. I'm glad you all liked these drawings so much -- they've been great fun to do.
For those who mentioned it, they are indeed part of a book project I'm working on - I'll post more info as it nears completion.
Thanks again!
